Street photography

The above images are the beginning of a series of images following someone around and taking a photograph of different places that the person has been. i decided just to take the photographs of the persons legs and feet this is because it will be taken from a level where you wont necessarily recognise where the person has been, it also keeps the identity of the person hidden. i have edited these images to black and white and changed the levels on some of the images, i think this make the images more effective and i prefer this series in black and white. i still have more images to take for this series, i think the last image that i take it will be of a girl and a boy so the series is like a story of a girl searching for someone and i think the last image that i take will be a full length image still from behind but it will give more of a clue of where the couple are and who they are.  i think this will add to the story because it will be as if she has found who she is now she has found him and she is no longer walking around looking.

The image above is an image that i captured when i was out taking photos for my street photography assignment. i really like this image i edited it in photoshop to make the immage look more how i wanted it to i want it to look "older" i think this looks alot better than the original image. this was an image that i managed to get just before the man moved this is a typical example of when you need to be quick and ready at any point to take photographs. i like this because i dont know who the man is or what he is doing it has a story behind the image that no-one knows apart from the man in the photograph.

One shot

in this assignment we had to take a photograph of an object of our own or something that we had found. we also had to include a person in the image. when we was taking the photograph we had to think if the image would look good as a square as when we had taken the image we was too then crop the image to 8" x 8". I thought i would choose an object and a location that there can be a story behind the image, so it lets the viewer feel emotion in the image.

I chose a ring on top of a bin because it was if to show that love doesn't always last and marriages can be broken, so i tried to show that in this image. i thought it was good that someone was putting out a cigarette at the time the photograph was taken this is because it shows that this situation happens a lot and people just deal with it these days and carry on.

I think the image works well because i haven't cropped too much so that you can't tell that the green item is a bin because if cropped it slightly more then it would have lost the round edge at the top which shows the viewer that it is a bin.

I also like this image because it is cropped into a square with two circles inside of it i think this is effective and give the image more depth.
